I think, I have made ever mistake that can be made while hunting with a pistol. A friend has a G2 carbine and at least one original Contender in handgun configuration. He shot mostly .44 magnum out of the original Contender (16" barrel), and heavy .44 mag loads were definitely capable of inducing a flinch in some people.

The .357/44 Bain & Davis is a centerfire pistol cartridge designed ca. 1964 by Keith Davis, by partner and pistolsmith of the Bain & Davis Gunshop of San Gabriel, California.
